报告题目:Adaptation of cereals to variable climate: Exploring complexity using crop model and genetic imulation
特邀嘉宾:郑邦友博士
报告摘要:By accelerating crop development, warming climates may result in mismatches between key sensitive growth stages and extreme climate events, with severe consequences for crop yield and food security. Crop models play an important role in the improvement of plant breeding to adapt the future variable climates through simulating the complexity of genotype, environment, and management interactions. Crop models also provide a tool to link genomics and phenomics (G2P) to accelerate breeding program through evaluating performance of new varieties in the diverse environment and management. However, it is a great challenge to integrate genomic prediction and crop models and apply into real breeding programs when geneticists/breeders meet with agronomists/physiologists/soil scientists.
